Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani - SS14 Collection

Earlier this week, we went to Brussels for the SS14 press days.

Very exciting, because we were invited to discover the new collection of Emporio Armani, as well as Giorgio Armani. Armani is one of our favourite designers. His looks are always so classy, stylish and timeless.
 

Recently 2 new stores opened in Antwerp.

The first one is the Emporio Armani store at 'Hopland' and the second one Armani Jeans at 'Meir'.
Congratulations on that, we're very happy with this acquisition to our city ;-)

Event: Selected x Smets Premium Store

 Danish brand Selected opened a pop up store @ Smets Premium Store in Brussels.
This wonderful collaboration Selected x Smets didn't go unnoticed, since we went to the launch party.

We've always been big fans of Selected Homme. The clothes are always really beautiful and trendy, of good quality and affordable. That's why we are so excited about this collaboration: a pop up store in a high end fashion store like Smets, creates a bridge between "both worlds".

After a presentation of the collection and the campaign (which is amazing by the way, check it out!), we were able to check out the collection in store. Showstoppers like the burgundy shirt, the blue camo desert boots and the wool three-piece suit really caught our eyes.

Both the Homme and Femme collection are available at Smets, including all accessoiries. It's really worth checking out because the pieces are amazing! The collection will be there until October 12.

Design my Samsonite: Winning designs

A few weeks ago we posted an article about the Design my Samsonite contest.

Well, we now have an update for you, since the competition has ended. Samsonite announced the winners!
 

Let us first start with the Belgian winner (Belgian pride, of course!). The national winner of Belgium is Kevin Caers. Congratulations to him!
 

The international winners are two ladies. One is from Russia and the other one from Germany.

Tanya Padalka from Russia won with her vision of the New York skyline, printed on a Cosmolite suitcase. The Firelite suitcase of Hannah Küppers has a cool, vivid-coloured world map on it.

The winners both won €3000 to make a trip to New York and Cape Town, and a set of limited edition suitcases, both fit with the new Curv Technology (stronger and lighter then ever!). Adam Lamkharbech won the People's Choice Award for receiving the most online votes.

Design My Samsonite

Everybody knows the amazing brand Samsonite for its great luggage to travel in style and comfort. We both use a Samsonite suitcase when we travel!

But today, we're not going to talk about the brand itself. We would like to tell you about a competition they set up. The competition is called 'Design My Samsonite'!

To be able to participate, there is just one simple rule: you have to be a student of a European Design & Art School (also including Turkey, Russia and South Africa). All entries must be received by May 31st, 2013

  

Judges will pick 2 international winners at the end of the contest. All the participants have a chance to win a trip to New York or Cape Town, worth €3000! The winners of the contest will be announced in June 2013 and the winning design will be produced as limited edition. They'll also pick one winner from each country and the design with the most likes ("People's Choice Award") will also win a prize. Amazing, right?!

Of course the candidates who participate need YOUR vote to win!
