Customized baseball jacket!

Do you ever wonder: “where do all these people get their cool baseball jackets?” Well, Men Trend has the answer! After trying on several jackets in many, MANY stores, we came to the conclusion that none of them was perfect for us. Either they didn’t fit or we didn’t like the color combination or whatever. So… guess what?! We continued our quest and we found an online brand, called “Stewart & Strauss”. This brand offers you the opportunity to customize your OWN jacket!! Let’s do this! You will be very original and everybody will envy you when you’re walking around with a baseball jacket with your initials on it!

First of all you go to https://thejacketshop.com/. Then you click “make-a-jacket; design yours; any color combo!” Now you’re ready to start designing! You can choose between 3 types of jackets and any color you want. You can put your initials at the front and your full name at the back! We absolutely love this! The only snag is that it’s going to cost you… Men Trend customized its own jacket and the total price was over 200 Euros, without shipping costs. For this price you only get the classic baseball jacket and your initials on the front. If you want something written on the sleeves or the back or you prefer a hooded jacket, there will be extra charges.
The bottom line is that it’s a bit pricy, but if you absolutely LOVE this concept, we guess it’s worth the money!

The new fragrance by Gucci

Christophe of Men Trend has an obsession about fragrances!
Everybody wants to smell good. Having a fragrance that suits one should be a part of men’s lifestyle.  So on a regular base we will write something about (new) scents.

Gucci Guilty Intense is an eau de toilette spray, available  in a 50 or 90ml bottle.
The top notes in the fragrance are lavender and lemon, the heart note is orange flower and the base notes are cedar wood and patchouli. Viewed apart these elements don’t say a lot, but together they give an amazing scent!
The bottle has beautiful and masculine design. It’s metallic black and it has the Gucci logo on it. The two G’s are transparent. The box is also black with the monogram on it. However, the bottle looks quite the same as the original Gucci Guilty bottle, so that’s a bit boring.

This perfume is the final touch to your perfect outfit. Nobody will be able to resist you while wearing this fragrance! So gentlemen, be prepared for the swarms of ladies!
A bottle of 90ml (3.0 fl OZ) costs about 80 euro. You can buy it online or at your local perfumery.

The gentlemen of Men Trend bought the fragrance and it didn’t take long before we ran out! So you can expect another review about a new one anytime soon!

Ready to party?

The holiday season is just around the corner and of course we all want to look fantastic.
Men trend thinks you gentlemen might be looking these days for an outfit that is just right for you.
Let us help you out if you don’t have much inspiration!
Don’t wear your old clothes that everybody has already seen, but go and buy something new and exciting. “A penny saved is a penny gained” doesn’t count this time of year, especially because the sales are already on
on many online fashion shops.
A shirt is always a really good basic. You can choose something with a pattern if you like but make sure it isn’t too much. You don’t want to look like Tom Selleck in Magnum P.I.!
Basic colors like black, blue and white will do the trick and match all sorts of ties and bowties.
We’re not saying that wearing bold colors is a bad thing, but for Christmas is a bit of modesty more appropriate.

Ties are probably a real must for more formal parties, but a bowtie is better! If you want to be the style guru of the evening, then it’s worth the risk of wearing one! Combined with a basic shirt, you are allowed to go all the way.
The funkier the better!

You can combine it with a blazer or, for the very classy men out there, just buy a suit! We’ve spotted a lot of wide leg trousers on the runway this season, but because they’re very difficult to pull off, we are NOT fans! Go for a modern cut or even a slim fit (from super skinny to straight leg). It will definitely make you look more sophisticated. Velvet blazers are very hot right now and they look good too! It’s no problem to wear it with a pair of jeans.
If you prefer a classic suit, opt for a single-breasted jacket with two buttons.

Make sure you wear a pair of shoes that matches your clothes because otherwise
your whole outfit will look like a faux pas.

Here are some outfits we like a lot. Check it out, spread the word and GO ROCK YOUR OUTFIT! But the most important thing: be comfortable with what you wear and enjoy it!

The left outfit is Dsquared2 F/W 2011/2012. It's a very crazy outfit but we liked it because of the white shirt in combination with the thin suspenders.

This is a great example of trousers with wide legs. In this case, it looks quite good.

Opening Abercrombie & Fitch Store in Brussels

We had to be very patient, but now it is finally there! The Abercrombie store in Brussels is open since December 8th. If you want to visit it right away, that’s possible but you have to queue for at least 1 hour! The first day people waited 5 hours to get in… that’s just insane!

Too bad that the clothes sold in Belgium are 30% more expensive than in the United States. Scandalmongers say that the brand will lose its popularity, due to its European expansion. The larger accessibility would vulgarize the name of A&F and other brands would start to appeal to young hipsters. But sure, the gentlemen behind Men Trend, Nino and Christophe, do love this American brand and many of you agree, right?!

The building is beautifully renovated and also the decoration inside is typical Abercrombie but lovely.
What are you waiting for? Go get some A&F now!

The famous fragrance 'Fierce' by A&F, it's Nino's favorite!

Address: Abercrombie & Fitch, Boulevard de Waterloo 20-21, 1000 Brussels, Belgium. You can check the website for directions.

Burberry Prorsum

Men Trend took a look at the Burberry Prorsum collection Pre-Fall 2012.
Below you can find our favorite pieces of the collection.
The head designer is Christopher Bailey. We think he did a great job, because he kept it simple, yet very elegant. Black, brown, grey, dark blue and burgundy are the colors he used the most.
The collection consists of timeless pieces with a little touch of the Thirties in it.
Burberry Prorsum used their favorite male model Charlie France to present the collection.
Men trend loves these looks! Do you? Discover it now!
