Book signing: Hello, my name is Paul Smith

Sir Paul Smith came to Belgium for his exhibition at the Fashion Museum in Hasselt, but he also decided to visit our hometown, Antwerp! This was our chance to meet Sir Paul Smith himself.

We bought his brand new book: Hello, my name is Paul Smith and he signed it for us.

It was such a great evening.

Funny detail, Christophe was wearing the same suit as him! What a conversation starter...

Outfit post: Abandoned harbor

 

These pictures are already more than 2 years old, but for some reason we've never shown them to you guys... Oops.

 

In honour of Alexander McQueen (and our last post), we figured is was appropriate to still show them anyway.

 

 

Nino was wearing a navy padded jacket by Salvatore Ferragamo over a Burberry Brit T-shirt. His jeans are by Nudie Jeans with a Louis Vuitton Inventeur belt. Last but not least, the famous eagle by Alexander McQueen, printed here on a pair of white sneakers from the "Alexander McQueen for Puma"-line.

Outfit post: Le Château des Thermes, Chaudfontaine

This outfit was also shot in the Ardennes, namely in Chaudfontaine. I wanted to show you guys my new Burberry Prorsum leather jacket that I bought this summer, while I was on holiday in New York. 

I was wearing a Burberry Prorsum leather jacket and a Burberry Brit check shirt. My wool pants are by Calvin Klein and my snakeskin sneakers are by Acne Studios.

Shopping experience Zalando.be

Today's post is slightly different then all our posts lately.

It's going to be about the online shop Zalando. One of the most well-known and popular webshop nowadays. The main reason for this is because they offer a very large range of products. They sell so many brands! If you don't like the 'normal' brands, you can sign up for the 'Zalando Lounge': they offer you a lot of luxury brands with tempting discounts and promotions.

Zalando developed a special page called 'inspiration'. If you're not quite sure what you're looking for or you just need some tips to know what will be trendy next summer, this page can really help you out!

Nino was looking for a new pair of jeans, so we started by hitting the Jeans button on the inspiration page. We got over 1500 different styles of jeans! On top of the page you can select the size, the brand, the prize,... You can adjust it just right for your own needs.

We found this great pair by Nudie Jeans and... obviously we ordered it!

It arrived within a few days and the delivery is free of charge: very important nowadays to make the difference.

Unfortunately they didn't fit, so we decided to return them. This way we could test their service to the fullest for you guys ;-). Nino send them back for free and, within a few days, the perfect jeans arrived at his house. Amazing!

Zalando really is a great webshop and the shopping experience is perfect.

Nino was wearing Nudie Jeans, a Zara shirt, Burberry sunglasses and  Balenciaga's Runner trainers.

Outfit post: streets of Paris

These pictures were taking outside the Henrik Vibskov presentation. A photographer of GQ China took my picture, too bad I didn't found it on their website (that would have been cool!) ;-)

I was wearing a Burberry Brit shirt with a Matinique knitted tie under a double-breasted blazer from Sisley. My black pair of jeans are by Filippa K, Jimmy Choo sneakers and a black leather bag of Burberry London.

Outfit post: Burberry X Les Hommes

 The weather gods seem confused. We still have snow on the ground in Belgium, just a week before Easter!

Oh well, it's a great backdrop for a photoshoot. Let's just hope Spring comes very soon ;-)

 

I'm not a big fan of wearing bright colours in winter, so for this post I chose to put an outfit together with a lot of black and different shades of gray. Furthermore, I only wore 2 different brands, at least if you ignore the gloves ;-)!

 

The shirt, jeans, shoes and silverfox fur scarf are by Belgian brand Les Hommes. The winter coat and the briefcase are Burberry London. The gloves are by Huis Boon, a Belgian ganterie since 1884! Their quality is to die for. Although I try to buy pieces from different brands, Les Hommes and Burberry are probably my all time favourites.

 

The location is a medieval castle in Antwerp, called Het Steen. It's one of my favourite places in the city because of it's historical worth.

Burberry opens first menswear store in London

Finally, finally, FINALLY we can announce something that we've been waiting for a long time! It's really good news for all the fashionable men out there. Burberry opened it's first menswear ONLY store yesterday! So no more elbowing through womenswear to get to the good stuff: men finally get what they deserve! ;-) We can't wait to visit London and go check this new store out.

We, Nino and Christophe, have some pieces of this brand ourselves. We're actually planning a new outfit shoot, because Nino purchased a Burberry London wintercoat a few weeks ago!

Soooo back to the store! It reflects Burberry's renewed focus on suits and tailoring.
You can find the largest selection of Burberry's tailoring stock there and, on top of that, the store also houses a new tailoring service! Say what?! Let us explain. They offer the client a wide selection of suits that you can personalize to your individual needs. And best of all, your suit will be delivered within 48 hours! A tailoring specialist will help you and give you professional advice. Tailoring starts at £850 (which is about €1000). Totally love this! We know what to do with our next (student) paycheck, don't we guys?

Matinique n°2: The lonely traveler

 In order to create our second outfit as ambassadors of Matinique, we received a winter coat. This coat is called the Contrams Coat.

As you can see in the pictures, the coat has a dark blue shade: very beautiful! Nino took all the pictures and Christophe was model for the day.
It's a very stylish and warm winter coat, with a detachable rib insert with zip fastening. So you can wear it all buttoned (and zipped) up, or more loose, like a mac coat. The quality is good for winter, because it's 65% polyester, so quite rain resitant. It really will keep you warm, because it's fully lined (and the lining has the cutest design!).

If you take the insert out, the coat looks totally different! We personally think that's double pleasure! ;-)

The concept was 100% our idea and we also did the styling ourselves. We really hope you guys like it!
