Event: Matinique turns 40 - Barcelona Meeting

Last week, we went to a very exclusive event of the brand Matinique.

This year the Danish brand turns 40! 40 years of fabulous men's clothing.

Specially for this anniversary, they organized a very exclusive event in Belgium for only 7 guests to have a sneak peek at the new collection. We were lucky and honoured to be two of them.
The people of Matinique that hosted were really kind and helpful.
It is a real pleasure to work with them.

The collection is truly amazing and stylish. Matinique decided to increase its prize and also to sell it in a limited number of stores, because of the special occasion.
However, the reaction to the collection is so good and so many people are prepared to pay that little extra, that eventualy it will be available everywhere for everyone.

All the pieces are timeless and if you purchase them, you can wear them longer than just one season.
People nowadays really search for clothing that is pure quality and class. Matinique has it all.

Matinique n°2: The lonely traveler

 In order to create our second outfit as ambassadors of Matinique, we received a winter coat. This coat is called the Contrams Coat.

As you can see in the pictures, the coat has a dark blue shade: very beautiful! Nino took all the pictures and Christophe was model for the day.
It's a very stylish and warm winter coat, with a detachable rib insert with zip fastening. So you can wear it all buttoned (and zipped) up, or more loose, like a mac coat. The quality is good for winter, because it's 65% polyester, so quite rain resitant. It really will keep you warm, because it's fully lined (and the lining has the cutest design!).

If you take the insert out, the coat looks totally different! We personally think that's double pleasure! ;-)

The concept was 100% our idea and we also did the styling ourselves. We really hope you guys like it!

Matinique Exclusive Preview SS2013

The spring-summer collection 2013 is SO beautiful that we couldn't wait any longer to share our pictures with you. Henrik Kongerslev, head of design at Matinique, came all the way from Denmark to Belgium to present the SS13 collection himself to some lucky few. Many of Belgians most talented stylists and some celebrities were there. We were invited too - can you believe how excited we were?!

 

Anyhow, when you take a look at the pictures below, we hope you get an idea of just how pretty these clothes are! It's, quite frankly, just a taste of what's in store for you/us, because every single piece is outstanding!

The great thing about Matinique is that it offers everything. You can step into one of their stores and buy an entire new outfit, underwear and shoes included. And you'll look amazing from head to toe, obviously!

Conclusion: definitely keep an eye on this brand: any purchase whatsoever is an added value to your wardrobe!

Matinique n°1: Business blue

As we mentioned earlier on our Facebook page, Matinique, a Danish brand, wanted us to review their newest items! Obviously, we were very flattered by this proposal! Today our very first package arrived. We are so excited!
When we opened the box, a beautiful laptop bag appeared. We are free to style the items in our own way, so we try our very best to make it a sight for sore eyes!

This laptop bag is called the Deplus Laptop Bag, and is made of grey tweed with black leather. The bottom is also made from leather so the fabric can’t be damaged. Inside it’s divided in 2 compartments. There is also a smaller pocket with zip, where you can put your wallet safely! Your laptop is protected because the bag is a bit quilted on the inside as well.

Regarding to the styling, we decided to stay in the shades of grey. Christophe of Men Trend took the pictures and Nino was model for a day. We really adore our new bag: it’s small (hence light!), yet roomy enough to fit something extra in it, like a bottle of water or an umbrella. The handles may look tiny, but feel very comfortable while carrying the bag. If you are wondering what Nino is wearing, take a look at the last picture and find out on his Lookbook!
