Event: Men Trend @ "The Network" of Jack & Jones

We have some really exciting news to share with you! Men Trend was selected by Jack & Jones to join The Network. This is something new they've created. It exists of 22 guys from all over Europe, who come together at the J&J headquarters in Copenhagen to discuss how the collections of Jack & Jones can become even better. 

We were divided into teams and we had 4 workshops planned.

 We did a photoshoot with our team and individual with the clothes on of the new collection (see the pictures down below). We shopped online on their webstore in order to give the people of Jack & Jones tips on how to improve their webshop. We gave interviews about the collection and talked about the postive and negative things of the collection.

After the hard work, they took us to a restaurant with rickshaws. This was really awesome! 

Back in the hotel, we had an afterparty with The Network and the people of Jack & Jones.

We're psyched that J&J took the initiative to organize "The Network". It helps them to know what we believe is important and what can be changed and, at the same time, we think it's pretty cool to be able to influence J&J in their decision-making.  Every one was so kind, to us, it really was an amazing experience. Really looking forward to the next edition!

We had so much fun in Copenhagen and it really was an honour for us. Big thanks to everyone who made this possible!

Event: Paul Smith SS 2013

What is better than celebrating Valentine's Day by viewing the new collection in the Paul Smith Store in Antwerp?

We had a fabulous evening: cocktails, fingerfood, fashion people, and, of course, an amazing new collection!

We didn't know where to look first, because we loved so many pieces. The store is also a shoe heaven!

 

Red, coral red, salmon pink, sienna, electric blue and optical or check prints can be seen on three-piece suits and although it's quite colourful, it looks really classy and chique. We noticed the recognizable maxi weekend bags and, of course, the ones with the iconic Mini Cooper on it!

 

We loved every single piece of this collection, actually... ;-)

Event: UPR The Big You #3 | FILIPPA K

Men Trend went to a bloggers event, called The Big You 3. A big shout out to UPR and all the brands that participated, we really had a great time! Every brand has a competition and we decided to participate in the one of Filippa K .

Why? Because we've adored this brand for years (and still do, obviously). It's a Swedish brand that's all about contemporary men's fashion and really, really good basics, yet still always with a certain edgy touch.

 

The competition is quite cool too, actually: create an outfit by yourself, with pieces from the new SS'13 collection, and if we win, our look will appear in the shop window of the store in Antwerp and Brussels!

 

Nino and Christophe of Men Trend created one outfit each.

The first outfit is put together by Christophe of Men Trend.

The first thing I saw were the black suede boots! I'm a big fan of this type of footwear; they're definitely my favorite pair of this collection.

I kinda created my look around these boots, because I wanted it to look rock-'n-roll and grungy. I like that!

After that, I searched for the perfect black blazer. I liked this one a lot, because of the three buttons and the great fit. Combined with a grey acid wash T-shirt and a black pair of jeans, this outfit is ready to be photographed in Jardin des Tuileries during Fashion Week, posing next to Emmanuelle Alt, n'est-ce pas?

To top it off, throw on a cool scarf! Go with a black one with fringes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is the outfit created by Nino of Men Trend. A lot more summery and very European. These amazing loafers have a very light sand colour, that coincides perfectly with the green socks. Flaunt your striped socks and wear this great cream-coloured pair of jeans as a chino! It's not quite clear in the pictures, but underneath the dark green knitted sweater, there's a linen shirt in a slightly darker colour than the trousers. If it gets a little chilly outside, put on this camel single breasted trenchoat! I don't know why, but trenchoats have to be beige, right?! The brown leather backpack is just in case you need it: you'll at least travel in style!

Picture yourself drinking Pastis in the port of Nice... I know ;-)

Matinique Exclusive Preview SS2013

The spring-summer collection 2013 is SO beautiful that we couldn't wait any longer to share our pictures with you. Henrik Kongerslev, head of design at Matinique, came all the way from Denmark to Belgium to present the SS13 collection himself to some lucky few. Many of Belgians most talented stylists and some celebrities were there. We were invited too - can you believe how excited we were?!

 

Anyhow, when you take a look at the pictures below, we hope you get an idea of just how pretty these clothes are! It's, quite frankly, just a taste of what's in store for you/us, because every single piece is outstanding!

The great thing about Matinique is that it offers everything. You can step into one of their stores and buy an entire new outfit, underwear and shoes included. And you'll look amazing from head to toe, obviously!

Conclusion: definitely keep an eye on this brand: any purchase whatsoever is an added value to your wardrobe!
